My name is Matthew Wills, and I am a New Zealander, born and raised (despite people always claiming I have a foreign accent). I am 22 years old, and recently picked myself up from Hamilton and moved to Auckland; in the hopes of doing something more creative with my life than managing The $2 Shop.
Since then, I've been making steps forward as an artist; have been trying to get involved wherever I can, and would like to organise my own art events as well. I am interested in taking up studying art again, but so far have enjoyed doing things my own way for far too long - it'd have to be one hell of a course. Ideally I'd like to publish a new comic series too (I published one a few years back, but it had a very short life span).

The tagline "Cannibal Cartoonist" sort of grew like a tumour over the years, as I started drawing more half-morbid, half-silly creations which I always found to be most interesting. The pen-name "Murk" is just one of those relics of my youger days, where looking up the word "Darkness" in a thesaurus and attaching it to your Mary-Sue was an awesome thing to do. Together they've culminated into this bizarre little persona who eats zombies and is often mistaken for one. Seems I can't avoid the stereotypes no matter who I am.
